Darul Arqam Academy North is proud to present fun, online activities for the summer!

These online sessions are open to students/community members from any district.

​The following activities will be implemented once all registration forms are filled out.

Registration deadline will be June 12th, 2020

1. Book club- (Once weekly). Students of all ages will choose age appropriate books from a book list that has been approved by IEIT. Students may use books from their home library or pdf versions such as openlibrary.org (an online free resource of borrowing pdf books and return once completed) Club time will be held from 12-1pm every Thursday.  

2. Speech contest- For elementary and middle school students. Prepared speeches should not exceed 7 minutes. The Speech competition will be held on July 14th 12-1pm for Elementary & July 15th 12-1pm for Middle school.  
*This will benefit students by increasing their awareness of certain topics,    enable their critical thinking skills, and assist them with public speaking.

         Teaser: 30-60 seconds  
         Introduction: 20-30 seconds
         Main body & speech: 5 minutes 
         Conclusion: 30-60 seconds
         
         Topics for Elementary- Choose one of the following;

a. Why I should be President?
b. Convince us that it is better to be a kid than an adult.

        Topics for Middle School- Choose one of the following;

    a.  If I won a million dollars I __________________________? 

    b.  Violent video games must be banned.


 3. Quran competition- for all ages will be held on July 6th 12-1pm for Elementary & July 7th for Middle & High school, 12-1pm. Surah selection will be from Juz- Amma. Benefits of the memorization of the Holy Quran are priceless. In addition, students increase their memorization skills, offer them an opportunity to correct the Tajweed of known/unknown Surahs and beautify their recitation.

                                                   From Surah At Takweer - to Surah 
                                                   Al Mursalat



4. Basic Arabic class-  This class is for moms it will be held every Wednesdays from  12-1pm


**Speech & Quran Competition prizes are as follows;

     1st place-  $25
    2nd place- $20
    3rd place-  $15
